If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that The Untz Festival knows how to curate a lineup. The Browns Valley, California festival consistently showcases some of the best the underground bass scene has to offer, and 2022 will be no different. So if you haven’t seen or fully indulged in the lineup yet, we encourage you to have a sit before reading further.

The Untz Festival Returns to Sycamore Ranch May 13-15

The Untz 2022 Lineup

First things first, we get the privilege of giving Shades a big warm welcome back to the states. Their headlining slot is the first announcement of their return and Alix Perez’s solo return since 2019. But, of course, you know they had to do it in the most proper way possible by also having a 1985 takeover featuring Perez, Tsuruda, and Hyroglifics.

This is the most experimental lineup in the history of @TheUntzFestival and we couldn’t be more proud of it.

This lineup is giving taste. With names like Chee, Ternion Sound, The Librarian, and Resonant Language. As well as a Bricksquash sunrise set, a Tiedye Ky sunrise set, a Zee downtempo closing set, the US debut of IT HZ (Chee and Jon Casey), and a Jon Casey solo set. We’re also getting blessed with Saka b2b Floret Loret, Murkury, Zen Selekta, Dela Moon, and Protial. That alone is enough to have us buying tickets and booking flights, but there’s so much more.

Takeover this, Takeover that.

The Untz always brings the heat when it comes to Takeovers. This year we’re getting a big Wormhole Takeover, featuring a Mythm b2b Matheny set, Secret Recipe, Chmura, LabRat, and Curra. In addition, an Electric Imprint/Solace Family takeover, A Vale takeover where Electric Hawk’s very own Mirror Maze is going b2b with Nik P. Rust Music, Gradient Perspective, Sus Collective, Wavecraft, Bass Waffles, and Inquiry will all have takeover slots as well.

We can’t wait to be back soaking up that California sun and feeling the bass in our bones, which if you haven’t gone before, yes, you 100% can feel the bass in your bones. So snag your tickets now before it’s too late. Not doing so is likely to cause a serious case of FOMO. See you in May!
