A West Coast staple for the underground electronic music scene, Shambhala Music Festival is just around the riverbend. Scheduled this year for July 20th to the 24th at the Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia, Shambhala is THE place to enjoy scenic BC nature and cutting-edge underground sound.

If you have never heard of Shambhala, let’s give you a rundown. It began on a Labor Day weekend in 1988 with just over 500 people in attendance. Their goal? Support local musicians, artisans, and performers while respecting the land and the people on it. A truly incredible grassroots effort, Shambhala has grown to support over 17,000 guests, all without taking any corporate sponsorship. Known for its impeccable and judgment-free harm reduction, 6 immersive and unique stages, and loving community, the festival has become a treasured event for West Coast music lovers.

Surrounded by towering cedar trees, a lively rushing river, and a loving and supportive community, Shambhala goers are in for the time of their lives.

Shambhala 2023 Lineup

Shambhala’s lineup this year is definitely one to drool over. Most notably, attendees will be able to see GRiZ headline before he retires indefinitely in October. Also scheduled to headline are Zeds Dead, Liquid Stanger, and RL Grime. It is rumored on Reddit that Skrillex may have been leaked as a secret headliner this year (fingers crossed). In addition to the headliners, the amount of talent and genres on this lineup showcase the musical diversity that Shambhala continues to uplift.

In fact, the lineup this year was enough to make the festival sell out.
