Through a breathtaking fusion of melancholic melodies, ethereal vocals, and cinematic soundscapes, Blake Farfan invites listeners to step beyond the familiar and immerse themselves in a world where self-discovery unfolds through every passing moment. With the release of his EP node(point)pattern through Seeking Blue, Farfan crafts an intimate sonic journey that explores the beauty of uncertainty, the freedom of letting go, and the endless possibilities that await when we begin to see the world through a different lens.
“The core of this artist project comes from my background as a vocal arranger. I’ve always had a certain proclivity for harmony, obscure vocal sounds, and the idea of voices functioning as “traditional” instruments within a composition. My idea for this project is to create vocal centric music that blends a pop and electronic sensibility.
This EP explores themes of loss, coming of age, finding purpose, and coming back to oneself. The opening track “Surface” deals heavily with the theme of loss in all its capacities. Sometimes loss is reminiscent of glass shattering. The thing that was once a beautiful vase may be permanently altered or gone, yet now and then microscopic fragments on the floor stab your feet and remind you what used to be there.”-Blake Farfan

As we step into this cinematic world, a rush of emotions begins to swell around us, accompanied by the swooning vocals of Blake Farfan. “Node” serves as our introduction to the melodic, melancholic atmosphere that slowly envelops us as we venture deeper into the world Farfan has painted for us to explore. Through chilling yet calming soundscapes, a sense of serenity begins to settle in, inviting us to follow the comforting glow of a distant light guiding us forward.
And as that light begins to shimmer before our eyes, we watch the “Surface” around us slowly morph and shift. Echoing arpeggios intertwine with Farfan’s angelic vocals, filling the space as our surroundings seemingly freeze in time before dissolving into thousands of tiny fragments. Without even realizing it, the weight of reality begins to slip away, leaving us suspended in a moment of pure weightlessness. Then, in an instant, we’re transported somewhere entirely new.
As a flurry of sounds ricochets around us, we find ourselves immersed in a world radiating with newfound brightness. Magnetic synths intertwine and layer upon one another, gently pulling us into their rhythm as we watch an unfamiliar world begin to take shape. Piece by piece, the “Contours” emerge, outlining a picturesque landscape that once existed only in our wildest dreams. And as the final fragments slowly fall into place, we surrender ourselves to the beauty of this serene new reality.
With a fresh perspective and an unfamiliar sense of freedom, we take our first steps forward, breaking the “Pattern” of everything we once knew and embracing the possibilities of this newfound headspace.

Throughout the EP, Blake Farfan meticulously crafts a cinematic journey that invites listeners to deconstruct their realities and challenge the familiar perspectives through which they’ve come to understand the world. Each composition feels like another chapter in an intimate journey of self-discovery, capturing the uncertainty, vulnerability, and quiet beauty of searching for something beyond what we’ve always known.
For anyone who has ever felt lost, searching endlessly for answers that seem just beyond reach, this EP feels like a reflection of that very experience. But rather than promising clarity or a definitive destination, Farfan reminds us that self-discovery rarely follows a straight path.
