Welcome back to the latest edition of Fresh Hunts Round Up.
This week, our Fresh Hunts Round Up features a little bit of everything. Some heavy hitters, a few vibey tracks, and some great music from our Electric Hawk family and friends.
‘Hunnid’ – Brightside
Brightside and Five Star teamed up for this hot release out now on Electric Hawk Records. The track brings together experimental dubstep as well as some thick trap beats to create a flawless banger of a tune. This is Brightside and Five Star’s first release on Electric Hawk Records, and we can’t wait for what’s to come.
‘VENTURI’ – Avante
Avante told us that his music is experimental at its most basic concept, and we’re given a front row seat to that sound with “Venturi.” This heavy track brings the bass face right out with that low frequency dub we know and love. Keep your eye on Avante – you’ll be seeing a lot more where that sound came from.
‘West Oxbury EP’ – Nu Strut feat. Grant Bloom
Take a break, sit back, and relax for the rest of the day (or two) with Nu Strut‘s EP West Oxbury featuring Grant Bloom. With titles like “Summertime” and “Melancholy,” we’re treated to a jazzy funk feel to start our week on a positive note. Said by Nu Strut himself, “Whether you’re trying to study, chill, or get sexy with your significant other, this EP is what you need.”
‘Common Denominator’ – FACEOFF
The long awaited album Common Denominator from FACEOFF has finally been released. Featuring an intricate blend of dubstep, bass, and experimental sound, the album is a great showcase for what’s to come from this producer. For the past two years, FACEOFF has been cultivating his future as an artist. Spending countless hours on Ableton, his sound has not only improved, but has become perfectly matched with his energy. FACEOFF has leveled up- and he’s just getting started.
‘Mana’ – Gibson Parker
Now here’s a happy fun one! Gibson Parker has straight up brightened our day with this delicious upbeat house track. “Mana is the spiritual life force energy or healing power that permeates the universe… Any one or thing can have Mana.” Gibson Parker said that he made this track purely for summer vibes, and he hopes that we all enjoy.
‘Work For That’ – YDG
Ah, the GRVDNCR sound we love to get down to. Heavy, a little funky, and lots of riddim. YDG brings the absolute heat with “Work For That,” and we’re so glad he did. Everyone is loving this track. Can’t you just picture it blasting through that Lost Lands sound system?
‘ICGAS’ – Ravenscoon
Komadoze and Ravenscoon bring to you “ICGAS,” the massive first release from Komadoze, showcasing the diversity and skill of production. We love watching Ravenscoon grow as a producer, awaiting each track that he releases with excitement. “ICGAS” is heavy, layered, and blesses us with an explosive drop. Even Herobust showed some love to this track! Check out Ravenscoon in Denver next weekend at the Black Box with w/out.
