Electric Hawk is a ride or die for the underground. What started as a small blog has turned into a community of music-sharing culture and a growing electronic label. This Friday, April 16, Electric Hawk Records was gifted the privilege to release a new single titled “Hunnids” from underground baddies Brightside and Five Star.

Are we throwing “Hunnids” or keeping it one hunnid?

Whatever the case may be, these drops from Brightside and Five Star got the bass babes bopping that @$$ real low. We love a proper collaboration, and this one really came for the underground. “Hunnids” is layered in rich experimental dubstep fashion, complimented with trap-like beats and sick synth design. With their first release on Electric Hawk Records, we can only hope to see these names on future projects from us to come.

Looking for more from the Brightside Movement?

Every Thursday you can tune into Brightside’s Twitch for a Beat Off Challenge! The 30-minute stream will have you ripping fresh vinyl selections and spinning your own techniques over them. How sick is that? Like a lot of musicians during such turbulent times, Brightside dug deep this last year and discovered ways he could give back to the electronic music collective. Team up with other big brain musicians and explore your own artistic capabilities with this challenge!

And whatever you do this weekend, make sure to stream “Hunnids” by Brightside and Five Star out now on Electric Hawk Records!

Not only is April Autism Awareness Month, but it’s also Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sexual assault is an ugly, scary, but very real thing, and it’s happening all around us. Good Night Out is looking to create a community that can prevent and also respond to all gender-based harms. A safe environment for everyone needs to finally be the new norm. Read more about what you can do to help, and get educated here.
