Returning once again to the beautiful campgrounds of Lake Perris, Same Same But Different has set the standard for a perfect SoCal festival. Teaming up with Good Society to host a massive Thursday pre-party, the 2025 edition of SSBD included sets from trailblazing artists like Coco & Breezy, HerShe and Phrva.
From Coconut Cove to Nakey Island, the sweet sounds of SSBD engulfed Lake Perris all weekend long. We were blown away by sets from Know Good and MEMBA (keep an eye out for their new album coming in November) and, as always, Dr. Fresch tore the roof off.
Outside of the scheduled lineup, SSBD provided plenty of spontaneity. Impromptu appearances. A late-night bash hosted by DJ Susan and a surprise set from LSDREAM were just a few of the treats that the festival had in store.
And just as the SoCal sun reached its heights, SSBD provided a plethora of ways to cool off from the desert heat. Whether you prefer to lie on a floaty while enjoying a set at Coconut Cove, dip into a cold plunge, or catch a banana boat ride to Nakey Island, there was no shortage of beachside leisure.
Same Same But Different 2025 Went Beyond The Music
Aside from a stellar lineup, Same Same But Different provided endless room for arts and activities. Whether you were hoping to run a morning 5k, wanted to Slip ‘N Slide at the world’s wildest paint party, or just needed to take a load off in the Cornhub, you never knew what you might end up wandering into.
Notice a conspicuous dresser in the middle of the fairgrounds? Take a step through its doors and you might find yourself wandering into a late-night N64 battle, a spin session at grandma’s house, or being enticed by the carnival barkers at the But County Fair. And for those with wandering eyes, the beach was awash with live painters, fire spinners, and interactive art displays that light the beach at night.
