As summer comes to an end, you may be concerned that festival season is also winding down. However, there’s no need to worry! Same Same But Different is returning to Southern California at Lake Perris from September 26 to 28 for another fantastic year. This unique beachside festival offers an intimate experience and features major headliners such as Zeds Dead, LSZEE, and Dr. Fresch.
Same Same But Different Is More Than Just Music
Beyond the chapel ceremonies and art galleries, Same Same But Different (SSBD) offers a wide array of adventures and side quests with over 75 workshops. Whether you prefer to soar through the skies on a hot air balloon or channel your inner Marc Rebillet with a live looping session, SSBD is ready to deliver. You can start your Saturday morning with a community 5k run, participate in a laughter yoga session or flowstar workshop, and immerse yourself in the serene sounds of Lightcode by LSDREAM.
And Then There’s Nakey Island…
As the sun shines on the shores of Lake Perris, you might find yourself craving a bit of added adventure. If you’re looking for exclusive dance parties, secluded beaches, cabanas, or scenic hiking trails for that perfect photo opportunity, Nakey Island is the place to be. This tranquil island, in collaboration with the Southern California creative collective Almost Nakey, is almost like a separate festival within SSBD. The island can only be accessed by purchasing a boat ticket, but savvy explorers can secure a Nakey Island Passport for unlimited rides to and from the island.

With a schedule packed with workshops and activities, it’s almost easy to overlook the incredible musical talent featured in SSBD’s carefully curated lineup. Electric Hawk favorites such as Mantra Sounds, A Hundred Drums, Opiuo, and Detox Unit will be performing. Additionally, we can already anticipate that Clozee’s first solo set of 2025 will be unforgettable. For folks who plan on arriving early, you can look forward to an exclusive Thursday pre-party hosted by Good Society, featuring barrier-breaking artists like Sumthin Sumthin, Hershe, and Phrva.
