Welcome to our first April edition of our beloved Fresh Hunts Round Up.
This week, our Fresh Hunts Round Up features two new EPs, an Electric Hawk premiere, as well as some more hot new tracks we can’t stop listening to this week. Happy April!
‘IDKWRA’ – P A T H
Starting us off hot with ‘IDKWRA,’ P A T H has everyone talking about the madness he created with this track. We don’t know what’s real anymore either- is it the hypnotic mind-bending bass? The glitchy sound effects making us feel like we’re in another dimension? We’ll let you decide. P A T H continues to drop heat, and we’re keeping our eye out for what’s next from this intricate bass producer.
‘Moving On’ – Blosso x Phocust
This track found a perfect home on Circus Records with its old school era fire. Blosso and Phocust brought the energy with this release, coming together and combining their individual talents and styles flawlessly. Melodic/future riddim is rising higher and higher in the electronic dance music community, and we hope to see these two skilled producers on stage soon to hear the craziness ourselves.
‘Demons’ – Cityzen
In this nest, we love some intoxicating tech house. Released on CYB3RPUNK, Cityzen takes us on a journey with this one. The ethereal elements alongside the upbeat, smooth bassline create one lush piece of music. Can you imagine this one during a sunset set? The vibes are immaculate. Chef’s kiss.
‘Swampmonster’- Khiva
Our queen Khiva is back with another one. Her angelic voice creates a beautiful juxtaposition alongside her dark bass music, and this track shines as it tells the story of a “Swampmonster, Big Boss.” Her Spotify playlist full of her favorite music, Khiva’s Crate, was just restocked this afternoon. Check it out and show her some love!
“Project Stargate” – Talex
This is one special EP. Based on the CIA Experiments conducted in 80’s and 90’s, Talex explained that he spent a lot of time trying to tell a story with Project Stargate. In this exclusive premiere with Electric Hawk, Talex creates an incredible audial journey through space and time. The intricate layers are captivating, the bass is mind-altering, and we love every minute of it. The project is intended to be listened to from start to finish for maximum effect. We cannot wait to hear this on a proper speaker system.
“Reefers EP” – Dutta & Rusko
You know we had to close this Fresh Hunts Round Up out with some nasty drum and bass from two of our favorites. Based out of the UK, Dutta comes together with Rusko to create this five track EP packed with heaters. As Rusko puts it, this EP is the “beginning of a WHOLE thang…..” and you know we’re ready for whatever is in store.
