If Slowpalace isn’t on your radar, he definitely will be, and his EP ‘Tainted’ will make sure of it. He started producing his own music back in 2015 and since then, he’s released a bunch of original tracks, as well as collaborations with artists like Lick and Herobust. However, you might know him from his remixes for Two Feet, Porter Robinson, and Kiiara.

Prior to this EP release, his tracks were definitely more of an “in your feels” vibe—but with ‘Tainted’, Slowpalace gets deep, dark, and mysterious. When posting the debut song, ‘Mentality’ on Twitter, he said: “This is a new era, new sound, new style, same artist.”

In addition to that, he told Electric Hawk:

With ‘Mentality’, I wanted to create a soundscape that showcased different styles while still staying true to my melodic heavy roots. Even though the song is almost 5 minutes, I can’t get enough of it, and I love the journey that this songs takes you on. Definitely a personal favorite.

This 3-track EP sounds a lot like if a haunted house and bass music had a baby. From start to finish, it will take you on a dark journey with all of the wubs and womps you’re craving. It is the perfect mix of sinister midtempo beats suitable for everyone.

When Electric Hawk asked Slowpalace what his inspiration to ‘Tainted’ was, he responded with:

To be frank, there’s no personal story or theme behind this EP. I just wanted to take all of my aesthetic/visual influences, combine that with my style of producing, and make each track super danceable yet emotional.
