A familiar name with us, and a continuously thriving one, it’s no surprise to us we’d be here again to share a new heater, ‘Envious‘ from Mean Mug’s very own NotLö.
The track comes fresh off Mean Mug Music’s latest compilation, ‘Cosa Nostra‘. With top-tier names from the underground that are making waves like Patches O’Malley, 2 Beard Crew, and more. She fits perfectly in with all of the talent to assist in elevating the project to the next level.
Our final installment of Mean Mug Material. A celebration of what we have created: a collective bound to no genre. This compilation contains different styles of tunes that we will explore more in-depth in future releases. Enjoy what we have become.
Alex Mantekas aka ‘NotLö’ is currently thriving force in the underground and has been putting the spotlight on herself recently. Setting herself up for a massive 2020, she continuously works to ensure her next release raises the bar, and reminds us we should not be turning our eyes away from her for even a moment for fear we may miss something. We’ve been lucky enough to receive a guest mix on Electric Hawk Radio from her last year, too.
‘Envious’ is another sinister and clear statement of NotLö’s rapidly developing sound. Opening with eerie pad synths and rustling textures, the song’s atmosphere without a moment’s notice shifts into a booming combination of rattling drums and eviscerating sound design.
