Although it’s only the start of the new year, Stratus is bringing in the heat with his new track, “The Villain.” The Chicago native is known for being in the heavier end of the spectrum with his sound, allowing listeners to have their own unique grimy bass face in response. Apart from his own tracks, one can also recognize Stratus on tracks with Inzo, Dirt Monkey, and SubDocta

Being a heavy dubstep track, Stratus brings in the perfect number of drops and buildups to keep the listener on their feet.

The track first starts off with a menacing vocal stating, “I am not the villain in this story, I do what I do because there is no choice.” It immediately grabs your attention before bringing you to a warzone of fast tempo beats, wonky sounds, and annihilating drops.

If you didn’t get the chance to see Stratus while he was on tour with Ganja White Night, you can check him out as support at Wobble Rocks! He’ll be playing a rare b2b with Walter Wilde.
