MAKESHFT’s ‘The Machine’ EP Saves Summer [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

We don’t know about you all, but this summer has felt a little off. We’ve had tons of things to look forward to like live shows coming back and being able to leave the house a bit more – but things have still felt stiff, until now. A brand new EP that makes you happy like drinking a tall glass of (spiked) fresh-squeezed lemonade on a warm summer day. MAKESHFT delivers The Machine EP – the perfect addition to your pool playlist, as well as a tracklist that’ll make you feel a bit more content and calm.

It’s been a second since MAKESHFT’s last release and like all masterpieces, perfection takes time. We’ve been anticipating a release from him since his last major project. A bit different than his previous work, this new EP has taken on a dubstep quality that has us impressed.

It’s definitely a treat. So… you mean to tell us that WE get a gift on HIS Birthday??

This project is approximately fourteen(ish) minutes in length and the metal part of a seatbelt on a hot day in heat. “That’s HOT!“, as Paris Hilton would say. All four tracks are magical to the core and filled with thunderous bass but still emotionally rich. But, number four on the tracklist, “FIRE,” is by far our absolute favorite. You know when the drop in a song is just EXACTLY what you want and expect and your heart skips a beat? This song is that and it gives us the chills. MAKESHFT’s The Machine EP has us beaming in dubstep dreamland.
