Party Favour

Start Your Weekend with JACKNIFE and JaySounds ‘Party Favour’

Nothing like a little dark bass house to get you through your Friday. Two of our favorite producers JACKNIFE and JaySounds just dropped one of the hottest tracks we’ve heard in a while, “Party Favour,” that’ll have you raring to go.

JACKNIFE, who has worked with artists like MALAA and previously released under Kannibalen Records too, has a distinct sound you could recognize just about anywhere. Pulling in elements of dark underground electro house and downtempo bass, this producer is exploding onto the scene. On the same wavelength, JaySounds also has a menacing take on house music. Terming it “warehouse bass,” he’s been supported by the likes of Don Diablo, Steve Aoki, and more.

Telling more about the background of the Australian producers and friends, JACKNIFE commented on how the single first came to life.

JaySounds and myself have been friends for a few years. We were working on an older tune together for quite a while before we started the new “Party Favour” project. JaySounds came to me with a sharp idea and thought it would be perfect to combine my mid tempo approach with an upper tempo bass house feel, we really wanted to make you feel deep at a rave in the early hours of the AM.

These two together is a true manifestation of our deepest, darkest music fantasies. Starting with a hypnotic beat layered among psychedelic vocals, this track wastes no time before building up into a flurry of dark beats and heavy basslines. Adding this to our playlist ASAP.
