If you’re into storytelling and experimental electronic music, Ekcle will satisfy your needs with “Pearl Jigsaw”. The song is mesmerizing, exhilarating, and blends genre and narrative seamlessly.
Harvey Carter and Jack Angel came together to create Ekcle. The two aren’t bound to any genre and enjoy mixing and matching sound to create masterful storylines. Ekcle’s sound is one-of-a-kind, so we’re excited to hear more from this Bristol-based duo.
“Pearl Jigsaw” starts off slow, intoxicating, and almost suspenseful. About a minute into the song, an argument between a man and woman breaks out. While the dialogue between the speakers is intense, the groovy, solemn music in the background leaves the listener wondering what’s actually going on.
At the climax of the song, the woman desperately expresses her confusion, revealing she’s right there with us.
I can’t see it, I can’t touch it, I can’t feel it! I can hear it—I can hear some words, but I can’t do anything with your easy words. Whatever you say… It’s too late.

If we try to understand the plot between the melodies, we can all relate it to a love that’s just not working out, no matter how hard we may try. The song is heartbreakingly beautiful like most love stories are.
But we’ll leave the story of “Pearl Jigsaw” up to your own interpretation.
