Electric Hawk has had up-and-coming producer Yewz on our radar for a while now. We are stoked to bring him into the family and release his newest track “Bass Bounce” via Electric Hawk Records.
This Mesa, AZ based artist has music for nearly everyone, with influences ranging from heavy experimental to future bass. If you want to learn more about Yewz, his beginnings, and his goals, be sure to check out this article. With a genuine passion for music, nature, and humanity, Yewz is an artist who you’ll love to love.
Now, onto “Bass Bounce”
Close your eyes and imagine a dark venue. Everyone’s shadowed bodies and Electric Hawk beanies are bobbing up and down in unison. Let the bass really get to your core – are you making your nastiest bass face? That’s how this track will make you feel.
Yewz begins Bass Bounce with a grubby build-up, which leads to the wobbling wubz that make the first drop bounce. He keeps us throwing it back with an interlude that gets you hype for that MASSIVE second drop where Yewz really emphasizes the bounce. The track ends with a perfectly balanced regression of layers, leaving us satisfied but still wanting to hear more… keep it coming, Yewz!
We’ve seen Yewz rise quickly into the EDM scene, with his most recent accomplishment being a feature on @FortExcalibur’s (AKA Monstercat Community Manager Dylan Todd) Excalibur Fest, January 24-25. This online fest, hosted on Discord, encouraged its “attendees” to donate to pre-researched non-profit organizations that support the bushfire crisis in Australia. Thanks to @FortExcalibur, Yewz, and all artists performing for this amazing cause! Read more about what other of your favorite artists are supporting Australia in this article.
Yewz has always been a major supporter of Electric Hawk, and we are ecstatic to have a talented, funny, and good-hearted dude like Yewz as a part of our artist family. Don’t sleep on Yewz, and listen to “Bass Bounce” here:
