Trap titans TRICKSTAR have returned to L.A. to celebrate the release of their LAUGHING STOCK EP. After supporting Tape B’s sold-out Hollywood Palladium show, Ookay & Bailo have taken over the back room of Heds in Melrose. The intimate venue served as the perfect follow-up to their previous L.A. performance and Electric Hawk was lucky enough to attend this exclusive event.

A One-Night Showcase of Break Room Records’ Top Talent

Alongside TRICKSTAR, Break Room Records curated the evening’s entertainment with a few of the labels’ biggest hitters. With his signature mix of crisp sound design and massive trap beats, Odd Language brought the raucous evening to a heavy start. Ever been to a set so rowdy that it caused the lights to go out?

Vibes remained high as Odd Language finished his set and Godlands made her appearance. With her dynamic stage presence and hypnotic fusion of club bangers and heavy trap, the talented Australian producer excelled as the evening’s surprise guest. L.A. native Hex Cougar also joined the party with a genre-blending set that melded trap, techno and drum & bass.

TRICKSTAR Has Heds Rolling

Fans have packed the back room of Heds by the time TRICKSTAR pulls up to the decks. As they donned matching ‘TRICKSTAR’ emblazoned Minnesota Wild jerseys, the duo threw down with an energy that was unmatched. Hard trap enthusiasts were treated to filthy new tracks as well as some familiar hits like ‘Bad Boys’ with Marshmello & Lil Jon.

Of course, TRICKSTAR had to pay homage to their new EP – LAUGHING STOCK – dropping heaters like ‘SWITCH’ and ‘TRUGANGSTA.’ But Ookay and Bailo still had a couple aces up their sleeves. Dirty Audio made an appearance as TRICKSTAR played their song ‘STACKS.’ And cheers poured from the crowd as Tiaro could be seen dancing to his latest collab with Bailo.

Immersed in the infectious energy, Ookay was raging and romping with the rest of the crowd before long. But even as the celebration drew to a close, the venue continued to buzz with anticipation. The electrifying evening had made it clear that the release of LAUGHING STOCK is only the beginning of this duo’s dominance over the trap music scene.
