Just when we thought we’ve escaped the growing wave of platforms integrating Instagram-style stories into their features, Spotify says “hold my beer”.

Still in initial testing phase, it appears this story-like feature is only available for some users on limited albums and Spotify playlists. These are currently being tested on mobile applications of Spotify on iOS and Android. This is not confirmed to be a feature being rolled out to all users just yet.

“At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time.”
