Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Raychill Sound could always finely curate a set ever since she began DJing for her friends’ after-hours. What started as a casual hobby has turned into so much more. Now, it’s easy to tell that her passion for producing is stronger than ever. With influences from Super Future and Ternion Sound, she has successfully designed her own unique style. Not to mention her distinct ability to orchestrate an unforgettable set. Raychill Sound’s range of genres knows no bounds, but she typically excels on the deeper side. For example, sunken basslines and esoteric elements are her specialty, clearly shown in Tolerance. The three-track collection is the perfect inaugural release and sets the tone for what else we can expect from Raychill Sound. So, let’s dive into this mystical EP.

Our adventure begins with “Ethereal Spectrum,” as its elongated prelude pulls us in. The ebb and flow of the eerie cadence is soothing yet captivating until we hear an eruption of bass. Minimal but hefty. “Ethereal Spectrum” is a heavy-hitter from start to finish.
The next stop on our quest is “Tolerance.“ Not only is it the namesake of the EP, but it’s also our favorite track. Immediately, the intensity is palpable, increasing with every bouncing beat. Raychill Sound doesn’t hold back on this one! The rumbling, upbeat tempo is impossible not to wiggle along to.
Last but certainly not least is “Damage,” where our journey inevitably comes to an end. Like the first song, “Damage” has a simple and steady rhythm. But don’t let that fool you because the constant whirlwind of funky accents and adlibs keeps us on our toes! It’s impressive how these three tracks flow effortlessly together to create such a cohesive body of work.
