Leave your preconceived expectations at home on your way to Lightning in a Bottle this year. Returning to Buena Vista Lake in Kern County, CA over Memorial Day weekend of 2020, this is a place of safe and encouraged self expression. Come alone, tag along with friends, or make new relationships – you’ll be welcomed with an open mind and open arms.

Lightning in a Bottle is where the magic happens. It’s also where you realize the magic was within you the entire time. It’s bigger than a music festival, it’s a holistic transformative experience. Between the art, guided yoga, and food that’ll delight your taste buds, it’s guaranteed to be a stimulation of all your senses.

Ranking as the most sustainable festival in the US, LIB is “designed, built, and curated based on a core ethos centered on sustainability, harm reduction, cultural respect, and most of all, creating an environment for extraordinary experiences.”

“6 ways of LIB” code of conduct:

  1. Celebrate life
  2. Create community
  3. Respect yourself, respect one another
  4. Actively participate
  5. Honor the land
  6. Be a citizen

Oh, and you can’t forget about the music.

The 2020 lineup is yet to be released, but so far they’ve announced their lakeside launch party to kick off the weekend.

Grab your unicorn floaty, some sunscreen (biodegradable, of course,) and get ready to enjoy Desert Hearts takeover. With artists like Mikey Lion and Lee Reynolds, what better way to spend the day than grooving to some house and techno? And if bass is more up your alley, keep your eyes peeled. Their next takeover announcement will be coming soon!

Lightning in a Bottle is at the top of our festival bucket list. Snag your tickets and camping passes here before they sell out! There are two affordable payment plans. You can choose the 4-day pass, or opt into a full 5 days to soak up the experience longer.
