Dr. Lobster is coming in to the dubstep scene hotter than hot. The young Dr. Lobster is popping up with heater after heater. Headbangers might recognize Dr. Lobster after she recently impressed the scene with her singles on Subsidia Records and Cyclops Recordings. Now, the doc’s come out swinging to premiere one of her newest releases with Indefinite Recordings, “Blast Furnace,” off her debut Carked EP, out now.

Well, the doctor is IN and here to stay.

“Blast Furnace” is one hell of a ride, if you want punch-a-hole-in-the-wall dubstep, well here it is. First track on the project and she lets us know what the HECK is up. The drops shake, rattle, and roll, baby – the menacing build up does not prepare you for the next two minutes of your life. With aggressive, metallic synths, sprinkles of neuro, and snappy drums that hit harder than an ice water at Bonnaroo, “Blast Furnace” reminds me of that same iconic grit of Must Die! or Space Laces.

But the grime doesn’t stop here; the other tracks featured on Carked are heavyweights you won’t wanna miss out on. Featuring the Carked EP, and ID’s from Kompany, KANAAN, and more – get a taste of what Dr. Lobster’s about on her dj mix, here.
