Get ready to blast into outer space. Electric Hawk artist Common Creation has released his newest EP, Gold Soul Galaxy, and it’s a funky intergalactic trip through electro-soul goodness. To say it simply, this EP will set your soul on fire. Featuring five new tracks, this EP is packed full of jazzy melodies, gritty bass, euphoric soundscapes, and everything in between.

The EP kicks off with “Wave Flex” which is overflowing with magical, scratchy wubs. The track makes a 180 halfway through, transforming into a wobbly and bouncing fusion of electro-soul and bass. Up next, “Gold Soul” is a track that feels and sounds like a warm hug. It’s packed full of sparkling soundscapes with just enough groove to get you moving.

Common Creation goes through a sound metamorphosis with “Come Selecta.” If you need some bass after the two previously lush tracks, “Come Selecta” will fulfill that need. The track starts off unassuming, before quickly slapping you in the face with grimey and thumping wubs.

Moving right along, “Close Wonder” featuring Adam Stehr sounds like smoking a cigar and drinking a craft beer on a Saturday afternoon. “Close Wonder” takes you into a multi-dimensional jazz club with its bass riffs, hard-hitting percussion, and key work. Kick back and relax with an IPA with this one.

“Take Your Time” rounds out the EP with its swaddling and melancholy melody. Common Creation utilizes even more instruments, featuring a trumpet arrangement before dipping into another synth-heavy drop. The track wraps up with a funky breakdown, complete with wavering synths, intergalactic trumpet arrangements, and ethereal melodies.
