It is our favorite time of the year again. Liquid Smoak season. The time of the year when one of our favorite duos in bass music, Smoakland, delivers their liquid drum n’ bass mix. With a couple of originals, and a handful of some absolute gems, Liquid Smoak II is great for all drum n’ bass fans, as well as those trying to get more into the genre.

Smoakland flexes their mixing as well as their ears, selecting some of our favorite 170 tunes.

For Christmas this year, we got Liquid Smoak II. This mix flows so nicely and can be used in almost any setting. Need to relax? Lift some weights? Set the mood at an afterparty? Whatever you need to do, this hour-long mix is the perfect soundtrack for it.

After my first couple of listens through, I was able to pick out a few tracks. One of my favorite songs, “Organize,” remixed by the legend Halogenix was second in the mix, followed by Ownglow’s “Back To You.” We also heard a couple of Visages tracks selected, including “Full Circle” with Charli Brix and “About You” with Laville.

We heard another Halogenix remix, this time of TOKiMonsta and VanJess‘s “Come and Go” as well the beautiful, “You Saw The Devil In Me,” remixed by Dogger and Mindstate. The mix was closed out with a special Smoakland remix of Zeds Dead‘s “I Think You’re Cool,” a magical way to close out a lovely mix.

Liquid Smoak II is the perfect follow-up to the first edition. The west-coast duo is known for their powerful, engulfing sound. But if you follow them at all, you know these boys love their soothing drum n’ bass. They provided us a taste of what they enjoy with this one. Once again, if you are looking to get more into drum n’ bass, this is a great place to start.

Listen to Liquid Smoak II and let us know what you think!

You heard the boys, you know what to do. Roll something up and check out the second edition of Liquid Smoak. It does not disappoint.
