We are all ears when an old school dubstep legend drops his first release of 2020. You may be wondering who? The one and only Rusko is back with EP Sauce, out via Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN imprint, today!
Sauce is Rusko’s debut release on the wobbly WAKAAN and it fits in perfectly with the label. Including four flavorful tracks, two of which are collaborations, listeners are in for a, dare we say, saucy treat! This offering follows his 11-track techno alias release in April and his Genghis Danger EP last November. Rusko creates an EP that tingles our tastebuds by combining his pioneered dubstep sound with forward-thinking touches, which he has carefully crafted over the past year.
Within moments of pressing play, Sauce brings the heat.
“Carrot Cake” simmers in a reggae-infused wonky marinade to start off the EP. Next up, Rusko takes listeners to an “Ecstasy Dreamland,” full of euphoric builds, futuristic beats, and an overall fun video game feel.

Collaborations for me are rare, and getting two of them finished with my two fav producers in the game right now was a dream come true! I hope the energy and hype put into these tracks is transferred straight to your hearts because I can still hear the fresh excitement in all these tunes. Following is a heater of a collab with the bounce master himself, Dirt Monkey, entitled “Quarantinis.” This track is an upbeat, synth-filled, and smile-inducing powerhouse. To wrap up Sauce, Rusko teams up with Boogie T to create “Wha Gwan.” A perfectly funky, reggae-inspired tune. Listeners are bound to get lost in the Sauce with the silly incoherent vocal chops from Boogie T and a plethora of OG dubstep.
