Pushloop drops in for the second installment of his back to the basics mix. The California native blesses us with volume 2 of an all-original mix. We’re talking strictly Pushloop tracks and remixes. This came with some incredible news that he and The Widdler will be hitting the road again in 2020 If you weren’t able to catch Pushloop & The Widdler when they first toured together back in 2018, we highly recommend adding it to your New Year’s resolutions.
We cannot go without mentioning the outstanding work ethic of Pushloop. He has been putting in the effort now for over 6 years and we here Electric Hawk have taken notice. We had first discovered Pushloop around 2018 when he gained tons of traction from his filthy remix of Yheti’s ‘Fresh‘. We cant even try to describe the sounds that are formulated in this tune, its just pure insanity. Give a listen for yourself below if you’ve never heard it.
That was just the beginning of what has been a remarkable past two years for the producer. We were treated to soooo much new music, including a couple of solo EPs, a collab tape with the Widdler and a slew of remixes. Our personal favorite? A wavey bootleg of The Fugees, ‘Ready or Not‘, that only amplifies the R&B classic into a dancehall anthem. This one will have you transported to a Caribbean paradise….in an alternate dimension.
Pushloop further solidified his place in the game in 2019.
Aside from his numerous releases, he was granted a set during Wakaan Festival that we’ve heard festival-goers rave about. The label prides itself on originality and finding fresh new sounds and there is no doubt in our mind Pushloop is bringing that authenticity.
