msft. comes back, creeping slowly through the darkness on his latest track, “Backup,” a wonky trap beat-infused beautiful chaos.

The artwork is “basically Thanos with a bull head,” and is a visual manifestation of the energy this track gives.

The single released through Jadu Dala is a brilliant continuation of msft.’s signature sound architecture. In the 3 minutes msft. takes us through this journey, the adlib “Backup” stands out, reminding us of our place. This trap single does the genre justice, slowly teasing the bass to a climax and making it crumble under mechanic-like synths.

Being in the game for 3 years now, the Italian producer Alessandro Garbellini is a butcher when it comes to splicing sounds between booming trap beats and contorted vocal samples. The 23 year-old is more than trap, however, and secretly he produces under his alter ego, ‘yung gado’ as well. Described as the “sweeter side of msft’s soul” this side project brings in Louis the Child vibes and mixes them with the R&B electronic flow of Soulection artists. Alessandro samples “Rude Boy” and “Halo” on the two Soundcloud tracks we have been blessed to get through yung gado’s account. This alter ego showing a perfect complement to the darker, deeper trap tracks he chefs up on msft.
