Swedish producer Kasbo has flown under the radar for the past few months. He broke the silence by sharing that, since May, he had been experiencing hearing loss that was unable to be diagnosed. As a result of this, he suffered from depression and insomnia.

Today, Kasbo is doing much better. He states, “I’m finally starting to feel like myself, making music every day, and being creatively excited again.” And while we fully believe that artists mental and physical health will always come first and foremost, we’re really happy to hear new music from him for the first time in over a year.

“I Get You” has that natural Kasbo charm to it mixed with Lizzy Land‘s indie-pop vocals. It’s unmistakable and something we’ve been aching for since his last album release of “Places We Don’t Know.”

Speaking on the lyrics of the vibrant track, Kasbo commented:

The whole idea of someone fully understanding and seeing someone – a feeling that fully came into fruition for me when I met my significant other around the same time Lizzy Land sent the vocal to me. In my life, I think I’ve automatically deemed myself and a lot of things I feel and do as odd, or unjustified. Meeting Jennifer really changed that, she was the same and she fully understood the feelings I had. She made me and my feelings feel real and justified – she got me.”

We can’t wait to see what else he has in store for the future. Either way… we’re glad you’re back, Kasbo. You get us.
