“‘Monsters In My Head’ is my journey into the darkest corners of my mind, where I confront the shadows that threaten to pull me deeper into a place I call ‘the hole.’ Writing this song was an act of rebellion against the darkness, a way to reclaim my strength and find light amidst the chaos & anxiety.”

Jessy Covets unlocks the doors for the “Monsters in My Head”
Naturally, we begin our journey into the darker atmosphere ahead of us as we hear the twinkling carousel melodies in the background. Through the haunting atmosphere, Jessy Covets immediately shifts the tides and breaks the shackles of the darkness. She brings onboard an energetic force with her confident vocals and signals us to fight the heavy murmurs that clutter our heads. With a mixture of rock and electronic elements, we swarm ourselves with the chaotic energy of the track. From the powerful lyrics of Covets, our bodies begin to feel empowered to take on the dark energy we found comfort in. And throughout the track, we feel the inner journey and healing that comes from seeing our worth in the world.
Nonetheless, Jessy Covets builds an anthem for the restless minds. This time, instead of allowing the monsters in our heads to take over, she pushes a sense of liberation. Through the hypnotic production, Jessy Covets finds comfort in being vulnerable within the music. Untapping the reality that anyone who listens to the single, shouldn’t be hard on themselves during these dark moments. “Monsters In My Head” connects us with our demons instead of being afraid of them. To reclaim our inner fire and build confidence within ourselves. While it might be just the beginning of Jessy Covets’ journey, we are thrilled to witness what other stories she has to share.

“The truth is, I was in a place in my life where I didn’t know if I should just focus on the business side of music and go full throttle as only a producer and songwriter. Post-pandemic was a very weird time, and I was overstimulated as an artist with all the newness in the music world. I’ve always performed with my band, but in the past, I had been too busy to embrace being a solo artist. ‘Monsters In My Head‘ is my breakout song into the world as my artist project FIGHTING the negative talk in my head.”
