ELECTRIC HAWK: I am so excited to chat with you! I’ve been a fan for so long and it has been so amazing to see what you have done in your career. I truly feel like you found a way to inspire so many other people and have become such a household name in dance music. You’ve been a key player and a staple in the Hardstyle scene for over a decade. How have you seen the genre evolve during that time, and where do you see it heading in the future?

LADY FAITH: It’s also great to chat with you. The scene has changed dramatically since I began playing and producing Hard Dance. When I first started, I was playing in mostly all-ages events that were mostly underground and located in warehouses across the Los Angeles area. Once Insomniac arrived on the scene, the genre really had an opportunity to grow, especially in the festivals. Today, I am seeing more energy in Hard Dance from the fans, and it seems that inside the largest festivals, the Basscon / Wasteland stage is always packed. You can definitely feel the energy from the crowds. I am so happy to see the progression of this sound and I am privileged to be a part of it.

ELECTRIC HAWK: You’re so well known for your high-energy performances and sets. What do you believe is the secret to connecting with audiences on such a large scale? What advice do you have for artists looking to be more successful and energetic during live sets?

LADY FAITH: It’s not that complicated. As an artist, you can either create and play music that you love, or you can create and play music that is more commercial and more lucrative. For me, I absolutely love Hardstyle, and you can see that in my performances. If I was not a DJ, I would be in the crowds enjoying the music. I don’t force myself to dance and expend energy, it just happens naturally as I am enjoying myself so much. I do the same when I am home by myself. Honestly feel that newer DJs should follow this example. Be passionate about what you play.

ELECTRIC HAWK: Looking back on why you started this project – who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your sound and artistic vision?

LADY FAITH: Prior to being a DJ, I really loved the UK Hard House and Hard Trance sound. That is what got me into Hardstyle. I was literally a fan who traveled to see my favorite DJs and after seeing an artist named Lisa Lashes, I came to realize that I can do this also. I hope that my success in Hard Dance will inspire other females to follow the path that I set, just like Lisa Lashes did for me. These days, I try to forge my own path and have music that represents my musical style.

ELECTRIC HAWK: How did you adapt to the cultural differences you encountered upon arriving in the U.S., especially in the vibrant EDM scene?

LADY FAITH: We immigrated to the US when I was very young, so I was fully adapted to the American culture by the time I started my DJ career. When I discovered the EDM scene in my late teens, I absolutely fell in love from day one. I had never felt more accepted into any community in my entire life.

ELECTRIC HAWK: Growing up in Tehran, what were some of the key influences that shaped your early musical tastes and aspirations despite the traditional environment?

LADY FAITH: I didn’t exactly grow up in Tehran, but I got to experience it frequently in my teen years as I was taken there a lot and had to stay for long periods of time. In America, I discovered Rap and Heavy Metal music, and in Iran, I discovered European EDM. I guess you can say both countries really contributed to my musical tastes today and I think you can hear that in my productions.

ELECTRIC HAWK: Can you give us a sneak peek into any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about?

LADY FAITH: I am working on a few different projects right now that I can’t talk about at the moment but on November 1st, I am releasing a track with Lexy Panterra called “By My Side”. It’s a pretty cool track. Make sure to stream it. Lots of great things are planned for 2025, so stay tuned.
