Blanke is back at it again with a new EP, Emergence, after an incredibly successful 2023. Known as a multi-genre producer, this release references a new beginning and resilience after a challenging time. Touching on the definition of the EP name itself, Emergence, Blanke shows us that despite the chaos, there will be beauty alongside the hardships. This EP mixes everything from emotions, energy, highs, and lows.

“The ‘Emergence’ EP is a diverse representation of my musical journey over the past year. There have been a lot of ups and downs, personally and creatively. This EP shows a breakthrough in my personality, passion, creativity, and skill that I hope will resonate with whoever listens to it. Every story has an intricacy that we can’t see.”

So, let’s see what’s coming to light with Emergence.

Heaven (feat. Rival and KC)” takes us on an emotional ride. The soft piano in the background travels along with KC‘s vocals. We’re feeling emotional. The emotions lead us to heavier, faster beats and tempos. During this time, we don’t lose focus of our emotions, both what we felt at the beginning of the track and now. The intensity is just right while keeping our hearts level to what Blanke has intended for us. This track is truly just like heaven.

Alphane” cuts through our chest and knocks the wind out of us. But we couldn’t be happier about it. There’s something about the muffled vocals contrasting with the intense elements that make our hearts flutter. This one channels the inner emo we know you all have in your hearts. It’s a bit of “screamo” mixed with electronic – how powerful.

Data (feat. Audia)” enters in with no hesitation. Quickly, quickly, quickly picking up the pace, our anticipation is building. This track has clear elements of trance alongside powerful bass drops. Combining different genres of music, “Data” perfectly captures how Blanke is pushing musical boundaries.

Turmoil (feat. Au5)” has a high-speed tempo – keeping the pace steady to keep us interested for just long enough. With no lyrics, we depend on the beat to take us through, and it’s just right. The energy is high, and we are over the moon.

Now, let’s bring it back down…

Heavy Heart (feat. Grant and your friend polly)almost brings the energy back to where we started with Heaven. your friend polly’s vocals are velvety and perfectly curated, and so are the lyrics. This track references a literal heavy heart and a yearning to help someone you care about. You literally want to take some of the weight off their shoulders and, of course, their heart. The power of caring about someone so much is intense, scary, and truly the epitome of love.

Crashing Hard (feat. Casey Cook)” mellows us out just right. Casey Cook‘s vocals are so powerful that she presents another level of emotion for listeners. Pulling on the heartstrings and tapping into the raw emotions that are left after listening to the whole EP, this track touches on wanting to fall apart and being held while crashing… hard.
