‘Tis the season for giving back. In an effort to continue helping artists, Bandcamp has extended their Bandcamp Fridays initiative! This selfless act already raised $40 million for artists over the original 9 Fridays. Let’s see what our community can make happen this time around!
In March of this year, the streaming and digital market platform launched Bandcamp Fridays. Now, we will be able to spread the love to our favorite artists through the spring of 2021. On the first Friday of every month, Bandcamp will waive their full revenue share! Therefore, if you support an artist on these Fridays, about 93% of your money goes directly toward them. This is huge, compared to the 82% they receive on other days of the month, which is still worthy of attention!

It is clear that Bandcamp has always been, and continues to be, so supportive of artists. There is no doubt that times are tough for all, but the steady income from touring got instantly ripped from these people.
