On the new bass heater, “Missy,” Zingara and DVVP mesh their explosive production with classic samples from the 2000s to give us all a nostalgia fix. This track is a dream for any bouncy dubstep lover and the fact that it is by two up and comers in the scene makes it that much better!
As you listen to “Missy” you will get everything you asked for and more. Zingara is known for combining an array of styles to create her own twist on bass music that she likes to call “astral trap.” And DVVP (pronounced “deep”) is sure to supply you with an all-you-can-eat buffet of “filth.” Together, Zingara and DVVP chose to pull samples from Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control” — hence the title. You can clearly hear both producers’ influences throughout this high-energy track, as Zingara speaks on below.
DVVP was actually one of the first people I met through SoundCloud in the industry. It’s so cool to look back and see all of our progress over the past couple of years. We are really proud of the final outcome of this track as it really shows both of our styles coming together!
