Take a moment and bask in the tranquil scenes of Sunsets in Bushwick

As we take a step outside to bask in the sunrays that warm our skin while the sun descends behind the skyline, we take this moment to engulf ourselves in the serene atmosphere Mikayli made for us to enjoy. Now is the time to immerse yourself in the luscious, soothing melodies and paint a comforting environment in your mind. The album moves with a hypnotic grace, carried by mesmerizing, silky-smooth basslines that glide effortlessly beneath each track. From the introduction “Bad, no more,” sets the tone of the album as it seamlessly transitions to the next track.

“Sunday” welcomes us to the angelic vocals of rachel-alice that transcend us into a slice of life moment of enjoying the beauty of a Sunday in Brooklyn. While also incorporating sonic lyricism reminiscent of hip-hop artist LuFilthy, the trio delivers a jubilant track that’s impossible to resist. Making everyone smile and contagiously groove along to the track. And as it transitions into the next track, “Growth,” we ease ourselves into the more melodic and harmonic side of Mikayli. While we glide through the smooth, refreshing atmosphere, we feel the transformative state from Mikayli.

Nearing the end of our sunset journey

Now arriving at our favorite track of the album, “Blue,” which contains another feature from absolutely lovely rachel-alice, the duo shifts the tones with the audience in this track. “Blue” blends silky drum and bass elements with a bittersweet melancholy, as we walk through the sunset city streets. Elegantly, through the production, we fall into these distant memories and transcend into the dreamy, reflective vibes. Perfectly allowing ourselves to lose ourselves in the serenity of the track and fade into the deeper shades of blue.

While approaching the second half of the album, we are nearing the end of our golden hour. Through the final three tracks, we feel that transition, especially through “Nightcap,” as Mikayli prepares us for the closure. Before we start making our way back home, Mikayli shows us with the “Sunrise Symphony” a final triumphant display of the warm tones of his album. Collaborating with The Big Tones, the duo showcases their elegant skills in a charming and serene track. To conclude our moment in the sunset, Mikayli shares with us the final track, “How did we get here.” The finale engulfing those final thoughts and moments that come with enjoying the sunset as it disappears past the horizon. With a mixture of both harmonic tones and heavier elements, Mikayli impressively makes his mark with this album as the final notes come.
