Lucid Vision kickstarts the new year with System Reboot, a sonic experience through a techy world and hardware restart. The 10-track LP demonstrates his evolving sound, combining genres like dubstep, hybrid trap, and electro-soul. Beginning the year with a bang and fresh direction, Dalton Kieta (Lucid Vision) shows his audience he’s just gettin’ started. Known for melodic realms, live instrumentation, and electronic foundations, Lucid Vision takes his signature style to another level. His melodic direction carries throughout the album, but this time, with a different and impressionable approach on January 3rd.
“I think this album, as a whole, is my most genre-comprehensive piece of music to date. To me, the music is all about manifesting a dream… or making a vision lucid. There was a lot of loss and downtime during COVID within the music industry. However, as it starts to pick up energy again, I’m excited to keep my dream alive with the release of my second full-length album. A lot of things seemed to ‘restart’ in my life, so it only made sense to bring that energy into the album. Flip a switch, reset the hardware, reboot the system, and keep moving. One show at a time, one song at a time, and one beat at a time.”

A System Reboot
The full-length album touches various genres in Lucid Vision‘s signature style. A trap-y and dubstep influence begins System Reboot with the first track, “Glimpse of a Vision.“ The wub-y starting guides listeners to the booty-shaking tempo of “Take It Up a Level,“ previously premiered via This Song Is Sick on December 12th. Emotive and nostalgic sampling shine in “One Day At a Time,“ while “Nobody’s Business” drops it low to techno feels. “Burning Bridges” concludes the system’s reset with galactic tones, thumping bass, and vibrating frequency.
Traveling through the LP, we hear flares of Lucid Vision’s inspirations, such as Pretty Lights, TroyBoi, and CloZee. These sonic inspirations combine with unique twists, like in “Amrita,“ which slows the album’s pace with an R&B flow state. From R&B to 808 beats to experimental elements, the Lucid Vision System Reboot is sure to cover all your bases.

Not only is the LP a beginning to a new chapter, but Lucid Vision continues his reboot in the live appearance aspect. Starting the year strong, he hits Dillon and Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with friends MIDIcinal, SNDY, and DEEP END. Riding the fresh momentum, he graces Chicago with direct support for Homemade Spaceship on January 19th.
