IT’S ALMOST TIME FOR JUNGLE BELLS; coming up on December 12th and 13th, Atlanta welcomes back a one-of-a-kind event, Jungle Bells. Back at the Masquerade, featuring four different stages of unique sounds and energy, encompassing all that the Drum and Bass genre has to offer. The organizers’ passion shows in their commitment to bringing in artists who genuinely embody the music. While also highlighting sounds that aren’t always available to experience in the United States.

From grassroots beginnings to a two-day party, Jungle Bells brings genre heavy hitters and authentic culture to fans.

KICKING THINGS OFF WITH HEAVEN AND HELL: FRIDAY

On Friday night, the journey begins with two stages, Heaven and Hell. Each stage brings a diverse lineup and energy with both local and global talent. It’s going to be hard to decide which stage to be at. However, I am really looking forward to seeing sets at each. Buunshin is someone I have been looking forward to seeing because of his wide range and the energy his music evokes. I’m thrilled to finally get to dance to so many of my favorite songs in person. The other artists I’m most excited for at the Hell stage are Visages and Monrroe, with their liquid sounds that set them apart. Dancing to these tunes will be a blissful moment for me, and I’m very impressed with the entire lineup for Night 1.

We also have the Heaven stage, which is sure not to disappoint. 360 degrees opens up the night with his Jungle sounds and a whole lot of scratching. I look forward to seeing how he blends styles in his own unique way. Later on, Mozey also brings the heat with his high-energy sets and stage presence. Goddard is another one not to miss with his soulful sounds. Rudimental also closes out the night with their beautiful melodies. So many of these artists I listen to consistently, and grooving to them live will be a special moment. The first night is simultaneously stacked and also just the warm-up for a very full and impressive lineup on Saturday.

A DRUM AND BASS LOVERS HEAVEN: SATURDAY

The bass lines will be rolling from start to finish at all four stages on Night 2, with lots of must-see talent. Especially with Jen Symmetry b2b Krystalize on the lineup, holding it down for the ladies and bringing their energy to the Hell stage. I plan to check out all the stages and listen to a few artists I haven’t heard before, and witness the variety that Jungle Bells truly offers its fans! This year’s lineup feels like there’s a little bit of everything to enjoy. From Jungle to Liquid to Jump Up and beyond, or whatever sub-genre you’re into, you’ll surely find something you love.

Fred V on the Heaven stage is another act I am looking forward to seeing. With his intricately produced sound and beautiful lyrical liquid sounds, he is someone you don’t want to miss. AEON:MODE, Andromedik, and Bou will also bring their distinct energies to the Heaven stage. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Over at the Hell stage, they will be giving it to you heavy all night long. Armanni Reign is a wonderful addition to any set, and you will have two chances to see him on MC duties for both Danny Byrd and Dillinja. LSB & DRS is another act you definitely want to check out for unique sounds and style. The Purgatory stage is a place you’ll want to make your way over to as well, featuring acts like Bad Syntax and Muzz. This is also a great stage to visit if you want to check out some up-and-coming talent.

Finally, we have the Altar stage, where you’ll want to catch Null and Noisesmith. In addition, the insanely talented Mandidextrous will be tearing up this stage, with a high-energy set, too. Closing out the night, we see Kings of the Rollers on the Heaven stage, Venjent on the Hell stage, Basstripper at Purgatory, and B-Complex over on the Altar Stage. All four of these acts are sure to bring the heat and passion to the stage in their varying sounds.

You truly can’t go wrong with how you choose to end the night with this one! For those of you who don’t want the night to end there, be sure to go check out the official Jungle Bells after parties too. The love for underground energy is evident throughout this event. Jungle Bells is something unlike anything else you’ve experienced recently.

Can’t wait to feel the electric energy at Jungle Bells!

Jungle Bells did a fantastic job of highlighting the vast range of sounds in the Drum and Bass genre as a whole. And it will be such a neat way to spend my first shows in Atlanta. Bringing some much-needed UK flavor to the states, and giving Drum and Bass lovers a place to connect to the music they love so much, makes this an event not to miss.

I’m looking forward to seeing everything this diverse and passionate group has to offer. This Hawkie is overjoyed to experience and write about such a unique event featuring so many talented artists! So stay tuned for my coverage after the event!
