Welcome back to the latest edition of Fresh Hunts Round Up.

This week, our Fresh Hunts Round Up features a lot of warm, happy feels to get our week started right, as well as some more hot new tracks we can’t stop listening to.

‘Smile’ – Teddy Beats and Jolee Nikoal

Teddy Beats and Jolee Nikoal are back with a new happy tropical house track to make you “Smile.” Jolee shared what inspired her when writing the track, and said that “no matter how low you feel, the right person will do anything to make you smile. They’ll make you feel like you are most definitely worth it.” This song put us in a great mood, and we want to make sure you smile today, too. 🙂

‘A Day Late’ – Headphone Activist

Out now on SSKWAN, Headphone Activist gives us a taste of what his LP Audio Oasis will feel like. SSKWAN will be releasing one single each week showcasing the LP, which drops this summer. This is the type of lo-fi track that is more than just sounds- it’s magic. Play this one on a walk outside, in the sunset, or cruising down the highway with the windows down. We’re very excited to hear more from this LP.

‘Wasted On You’ – DVRKO

You know we love bass house in this Nest! This bouncy new track is the latest release from DVRKO. When talking about the song, he said, “Wasted On You” is about someone who’s become a bad habit you can’t seem to kick. Every time you’re with them you forget about all the reasons why you shouldn’t be together. They’re like your kryptonite and you always give in even if you might regret it in the morning.”

‘Super Classic’ – Supertaste

Ooo, you know we had to throw a smooth funky tune on our Fresh Hunts playlist! Brooklyn-based Supertaste blesses us with the indie-disco vibes with “Super Classic,” out now Casablanca Sunset Records. This is the first offering from their forthcoming ‘Super Classic EP’ due out later in 2021.

‘Louder’ – Franky Nuts & Axel Boy

Out now on Gud Vibrations, Franky Nuts and Axel Boy came together to collab on this hot new track “Louder,” and they absolutely brought the heat. This brostep track found a great home with Gud Vibrations (can you hear what we mean?)

‘day + night’ – P3PPER

It was a no brainer to give P3PPER all the love with this gorgeous new song out on Bonsai Collective. The South Korean producer shared that he makes tracks that have chill/lounge vibes, so he carefully places detail into the texture of ambiance and synths. Combining the calmness of the day and the energy of the night together in ‘day + night,’ we think that he created some beautiful magic with this one.

‘Left Over Lies’ – Matheny

This track comes from Matheny‘s latest EP “Left Over Lies,” released by Wormhole Music Group. The title track features production from the intricate legend Freddy Todd and the crafty and catchy rap stylings of Nat Nat the Sage, and it just might be one of the most intoxicating tunes and collections of music as a whole that we’ve heard in awhile. With “Hold This” and “Rectify” rounding out the EP, Matheny’s “Left Over Lies EP” is not to be slept on.

Don’t let us stop you there- dive in to the other Fresh Hunts we have in store for you this week!
