“As humans we have such a complex way of intellectualizing and reacting to the world around us, it is given that how we perceive ourselves and others does shape our realities. I wrote this song about the human dance of being emotionally reactive.
In the song I mention “fighting fire with a flame, get the sharp edge of the blade.” When we focus on the negativity, our world starts to dim. This song touches on frustrations in relationships with others and realizing that how we personally react to it, is what is the most important. “Its a broken mirage” means to me, seeing through someone’s actions but finding a way to filter that through wisdom, and holding back on my initial want to emotionally react. Growth is a dance with human emotion.”
