It’s time to find that personal emotional connection with ZOF as she shares her newest EP, The Family of Things, released on DOME OF DOOM. The rising atmospheric artist teams up with her friends Baby Weight and DMVU, to craft two transformative tracks that allow the audience to escape. As we fall through the chimerical aura, we experience the emotional connection of what it means to find your family through all the noise in our chaotic lifestyles. This time, ZOF shares a vulnerable journey for us to experience and resonate with together.
“Me and DMVU and Baby Weight are all spread across the country, so this EP is really an extended family affair, hence the name ‘The Family Of Things.’ Both tracks are very vulnerable and emotive and reflective of how we as artists very much become each otherโs chosen family through creating music together. Itโs a very intimate thing to create music with another person and when it works well itโs almost like you have a psychic connection to one another and it creates something larger than the sum of its parts.”

Immediately, we float into this dazzling, weightless atmosphere that wraps around us. “The Family of Things” enters us into this dreamy lullaby that soothes the spirits. The duo of DMVU and ZOF illustrates this shimmering picture for us to admire. Through the chimes and mesmerizing melodies, the uplifting tones bring us into a cheerful mindset as we sway in motion to the track. Afterwards, it allows us to immerse ourselves in this new, beautiful era where we can be grateful for the connections we have made in this journey.
Now, leading into a different side of things from ZOF. She partners up with Baby Weight to synthesize their styles into what is “This Home We Built.” The duo blend their melodic abilities to craft a healing soundscape for the audience to connect. Through their elegant songwriting, we glide through the chromatic drums and iridescent melodies. While we blissfully dance along, the captivating ride leads us longing for hope. However hard the challenges combatting us are, the duo shares the sentiment that they will be able to conquer them.
Naturally, ZOF returns with elegance as she delivers a sparkling EP. As she continues to explore and grow vulnerable through her songwriting and production, ZOF reveals the beauty of what comes when you tap into the emotional side. Now, she gives the audience a chance to take a moment to reflect on the noise around them. The EP comforts everyone through tough times.
