Yoko, originally from Tacoma, Washington, is trailblazing the underground scene with her talent for producing heavy-hitting bass. Yoko’s sound is well known for her exceptional and creative blending of styles and genres. 

Skinny Limbs is a master at blending dancefloor-friendly tunes with textured soundscapes and thumping bass. He has even started his own record label, Hemi.Wav to further explore his musical vision. 

Together, the two best friends have launched their monumental collaborative project, critical h!t. critical h!t stays true to their individual styles while expertly blending in new and exciting sounds. Both Yoko and Skinny Limbs have masterfully woven their styles together to give us this four-song brilliance. Fans of each artist are sure to enjoy the ride of this exciting and experimental EP, as it boasts unique and attention-grabbing soundwaves. 

“Yikes,” the first of four tracks, opens with a tune that will instantly turn heads. It is next to impossible for heads to not be nodding within the first thirty seconds of the song. The rhythm is lively and bouncy but skillfully remains deep without losing any of its experimental nature. “Yikes” contains several layers of elaborate bass masterfully produced and seamlessly blended that will certainly have any dance floor moving. The swanky song leaves the listener hungry for more tunes from this dynamic duo and is the perfect taste of what is to come later in the EP. Yoko and Skinny Limbs truly display their mastery of the craft by combining their styles in harmony. Tremendously impressive, “Yikes” is tenaciously genre-blurring!
