The return of festival season hit with a bang this past weekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida for Sunset Music Festival 2021. Some of us had the pleasure of attending and it was definitely a refreshing start to finally bouncing back into festival season after such a long time away.

Follow us through the crowd and get the inside scoop!

I began the fest by quite literally running to Midnight T‘s set where he increased our heart rates with consistent heavy hitters. Doing a complete 180, Said The Sky premiered his new collab with Illenium and it made everyone in the crowd get in their feels.

Sullivan King rinsed “Venomous” live and that heavy drop will surprise you on a proper system! Furthermore, Zomboy closed out the night with some dubstep classics along with IDs!

Seven Lions closed out the night at the Sunset stage and had us all in our feelings.

Day 2 at the Horizon Stage went a little like this…

Inzo made us cry by playing multiple Porter songs. Ugh, the feeeels. And let’s not forget when he dropped “Overthinker” featuring the Alan Watts vocals. The crowd went crazy.

Champagne Drip introduced us to some music that he says he wrote in a past life? I don’t know about you but I definitely wanna hear more about that!

Some other great sets included Lizzy Jane, and Riot Ten.

Back at the Sunset Stage…

Adventure Club showed us their vibey unreleased featuring GLNNA‘s ambient vocals and a future bass drop. They kept their signature energy going with a blend of similar songs and heavy drops.

When Kaivon played his highly anticipated Alison Wonderland remix, “Peace,” the most euphoric feeling arose in the crowd, and boy was it iconic! He said it himself that this was the biggest crowd he’s ever played, and we were so glad to hear him live for his first Florida set!

Don’t forget to grab your friends! It’s hawk girl summer and Nitti Gritti is djing a bouncy, twerky, headbangy conundrum. It was LIT! I also happened to find our fellow staff writer, Chris, and at this point, our groups merged and danced our hearts out!

The house stage was so much fun

AC Slater was the perfect bass house set. Drezo‘s set was also a great time and I definitely shuffled to the point I was out of breath.

Let’s not forget Chris Lorenzo B2B Wax Motif. A perfect, seamless B2B, I have no words for how amazing that was.

Our Headline Queen Rezz ended Sunset Music Festival 2021 on a soul snatching level

Our space mom REZZ hypnotized the entire crowd and had us under her DJ control for the entire set. She threw down some unreleased which shook us to our core, I absolutely can not wait for her new music to come out.
