Imprinting our hearts with a bass-driven set, Skysia joined the LsZee curation for an unforgettable Sunday at Red Rocks Amphitheater. The Denver-based producer is known for his combination of organic sounds, airy feels, and heavyweight bass. Bringing his style to the Rocks, attendees took a journey through experimental melody and soul-awakening frequencies.
The two-night LsZee headline sold out the Red Rocks Amphitheater with two different sonic experiences each night. Sunday, however, was expected to be particularly special: Lowcation opened the evening, setting the experimental bass tone, during a pristine sunset view and 75-degree weather. Skysia followed, beginning his set with an ethereal intro and bass-y ambience. Aside from the audio, the visuals also immediately captivated us with tones of blue and white and elemental vibes.
From dreamy, light-hearted tempos, Skysia took us deeper, diving into the depths of freeform bass and heavier wavelengths. As the night greeted us, the audience was fully immersed in Skysia’s balance of dark and light sonics. Rumbling tracks with trap flares kept us moving, while melodic tones settled and guided us through. The set created a narrative for listeners to let go, tap into their inner light, and embrace a sense of grounding.
“I’ve been visualizing and journaling about this moment for years. To see it play out in front of my eyes was the most incredible experience of my life!! It was incredibly emotional to look up and see 10,000 people… I’ll never forget that feeling.
I spent months working on this set. Creating edits, flips and new music to craft the best journey I possibly could. I love telling stories and the hero’s journey is usually a strong theme in my sets. Starting in one world, being pulled through darkness and challenge, then entering a space of light and celebration. Very happy with how this one turned out! Truly, an unforgettable experience.”

Skysia brings his journey-like sets all around the world. He’s made iconic appearances at festivals like High Vibe and June Jam, and shared the stage with artists like Chmura and Clozee. Aside from live appearances, his discography consists of releases via labels like Odyzey and Gravitas, and collaborations with artists like Orenda and Equanimous. Although Skysia makes frequent moves, his Red Rocks performance truly set the bar, as he pushed his typical boundaries. Without straying too far from his vision, he stayed true to “Skysia” (meaning “sky” and “sea”) by taking us through a whirlwind of cloud-like melodies and intense, sea-like elements. Grounding us with organic tones, our cinematic journey through Earth came to halt… but not for long.
