Now comes the time to ponder the quality of our surroundings with ROBY and his newest EP, vividity, released on January 26th through Tabula Rasa Records. ROBY delivers a refresher to his audience with the vast range of soundscapes he explores. This time, a new era emerges from the producer as he confidently brings his lyrical and vocal talents to the masses. And with this new generation of ROBY, we can’t help but reflect on the “vividity” of our lives as we listen to his new EP.
“I think if people can relate to what I’m singing about, that’s great! I’m going on a tangent a little here, but I don’t believe that all music needs to be this ultra-personal media type, and you can only release songs if you go through some super traumatic thing that you must sing about or express through music. It’s cool to write songs as a different character or in a different perspective sometimes, too.”

Feel an energizing sense of life from ROBY and his vividity EP!
Immediately, ROBY transports us into a serene atmosphere as the production begins to reflect a sense of melancholy. “fade away” showcases the overcoming pain that comes when you try to recover from tragedy. As the metallic-chromatic elements crash and break in the background, a rush of emotions starts to overwhelm us. While we transition into the next phase of our lives, the urging thought that we are “way too sentimental” floods our minds. Now, he shifts gears as he portrays his emotions through his dynamic lyricism. Before we reach our state of transformation, ROBY gives us a chance to plead one more time into the void with “can we be (interlude).“
Through all the pain, it’s time to swallow our pride and “evolve+dissolve” so we can finally transition on. ROBY partners up with the Andr3w J0hn to fully encompass the transformation in a very euphoric fashion. From blasting the audience with a wave of trance synths and breaks that elevate the heart rate within to the youthful spirit of the duo’s vocals, we are given the chance to just dance away chaotic energy. And before we end our evolution, we fight for the opportunity to “buy a little time” to linger around. ROBY captures the essence of fawning on the memories of our past and not wanting to repeat our past mistakes. The angsty emotions of wanting to be with someone new but unsure if their feelings are mutual. In the end, there is never really a clear way to figure out what is the right decision, but ROBY reminds us that no one ever does. So, it’s time to catch the flight back to reality.

Nevertheless, the evolution of ROBY continues to impress the crowds. With the evolution of his production, we begin to notice the confidence building with the young producer. From his early beginnings, Electric Hawk continues to watch him excel on all fronts. And with the pristine honor of getting recognition from Tabula Rasa Records, he will continue to elevate with each era. As always, ROBY is someone who should be on everyone’s radar!
