MIDIcinal’s electronic foundations combined with funk and hip-hop samples are thoroughly ingrained in today’s premiere, “Trailblazer.” With catchy flares and southern feels, the fast-paced track takes listeners into a wild western setting. From dubstep elements to an electro-funk groove, to DnB, “Trailblazer” is sure to keep your body and mind moving. The trailblazin’ time traveler introduces his upcoming EP as the self-titled tune, set to fully release on April 9th.

“Trailblazer” begins with an immersive intro and hints of harmonica and horns. Sparks of the harmonica continue throughout, while the brassy instruments take the spotlight. The electronic-driven track heightens its pace, concluding with a fast journey through DnB tempo. From start to finish, we find ourselves journeying around a wild western era paved with trails under the desert sun.

The track gives listeners insight on what’s in store for MIDIcinal’s Trailblazer EP. He showcases his signature genres like electro-funk and electro-soul in the four-track project, where instrumentals and bass lines collide. On a momentum with releases this year, MIDIcinal also served fans with the recent remix of Homemade Spaceship’s “Elevation.” Aside from music releases, the Denver-based producer announces a couple of heavy-hitting shows, including his support at Meow Wolf, with 5AM Trio & Morning Coffee on June 8th.
