DEV has officially stepped into her producer era with the release of her first single, “Leit Metamorphose”.
For some, this may be the first time hearing it, but for hundreds of others, it’s just a flashback to one of her largest plays to date. DEV didn’t just release a song; she made a statement, bringing it to life on one of the most unforgiving stages in the world.
There’s a certain level of risk in tying your first release to a stage like Red Rocks.
It either amplifies everything or exposes everything.
DEV has already proven what she’s capable of. Now she’s breaking those ideas and proving she’s not one to be underestimated. Her momentum is unyielding, she will always choose to go all in, and the results are obvious.
A packed venue, a crowd that showed up early, merch that sold out weeks before the show, and a debut that had people dancing from the front to the back.
With such a unique song title, we asked DEV the meaning behind it:
“Leit Metamorphose is a symbol to me. It’s a tribute to people who come into their power later in life, or later than they expected. It represents the idea that it’s never too late to start your dream or become who you’re meant to be. It’s meant to encourage women and the people around me to step into their power and grow into their best selves at any point in life.”
A Night on the Rocks
By the time DEV took the stage, Red Rocks wasn’t slowly trickling in. It was filled all the way to the back rows way before her set had wrapped.
Moments like this don’t come from hype alone. They come from people paying attention before there’s a reason to, and showing up when it counts.
What made the night even more special is that it wasn’t just DEV’s debut, but she brought her whole community with her.
Featuring lighting designer Jacob Butler, photographer Shelby Louder, manager Ashli Zornes, and dancers Melissa Hennessey, Bianca Lee Acosta, Talia Adam, and Brenden Chee. Multiple people on her team walked away from that stage with their own “first” at Red Rocks. That kind of shared milestone shifts the energy into something completely fresh, collective, and rare.
“Sharing that night with my team, my closest family, and friends meant everything to me. I couldn’t have even imagined something that incredible or the level of support I was given that day. Everything was executed so flawlessly and beautifully that it honestly felt like a dream. I kept having to stop and remind myself that it was real. My team is truly the best I could ever ask for. I am so blessed to have them. Every single person poured so much love, effort, and talent into making it what it was. It’s something I will never forget. I’m surrounded by the most incredible people, and I’m so grateful I had a platform to show them off, too.”
When given the opportunity to be a part of such a legendary night, sharing the stage with Ravenscoon, Jantsen, WonkyWilla, Jason Leech, CHOZEN, and Noetika, she could have recruited people who have been in the industry for years, which would have been the safe route, but instead she chose to invest in her people and put in the time to make sure they were all ready, together.
And it paid off beautifully.
At the end of the day, people don’t fill Red Rocks early for just anything.
They do it for artists they believe in.
“I feel proud, uplifted, and truly empowered by my friends, family, and team. It was the best day of my life. I could have only dreamed of it going as perfectly as it did, but it did. I’ve never been so moved by an audience or by the support afterward. I’m just so grateful.
“I’m ready to take on whatever comes next.””
