Grab the nearest box of tissues and your lover, everyone. Dabin has made his iconic return with an acoustic version of “Alive,” which is the lead single off his album Wild Youth.
Dabin’s original production of “Alive” is already so perfect, who knew that an acoustic version is what we all needed. The original production of this track starts off with a sultry, textured vocal feature from RUNN. Her graceful voices cruises throughout the soaring buildups and the energetic, heart-fluttering bass drops that show off Dabin’s skills.
Keeping the same message while taking things a very different direction, Dabin has gifted the world an acoustic version of this already beautiful song. This version focuses on the subtle piano chords that start off this song. The chords are the main focus until RUNN’s delicate voice trickles in. The instrumentation throughout the entirety of this version is truly magical.
“Alive” has been the most popular track of Dabin’s sophomore album, so for him to give us an acoustic version is a true chef’s kiss. This stripped down version is very airy and melodious. It radiates a shimmering, fresh new take that elevates all the key aspects of what makes the original production even more appealing.
