Following a scorching hot summer launch, LAโ€™s hottest queer and femme bass music collective, Bass n Babes, is back. This time, bringing some of its resident femme and gender-expansive artists together for their sophomore Bass n Babes Compilation. Bass n Babes Vol II is a thirteen-track compilation that takes the listener on a journey through low-end frequencies and powerful, underground sounds while championing unique expressions of feminine and LGBTQ art. This edition features returning artists from the first compilation, Baby Kush, farley., nomi, Lex Looper, Roses Grimoire, VIOLET, and Kurei & Auracle as their duo project, two girls one laptop. While including new talents such as TrebleTina, Aariaa, ETHERA, Hersoul, IIBARRA, MICROPLASTIQUE, Sorcerist, and TROWL.

Vol II continues to achieve its mission of bridging the gap between the LGBTQ and bass music communities. The collective continues to make strides in uplifting and empowering the voices of femme and queer individuals. And this compilation amplifies and pushes the needle in the right direction. Sit back and relax on a nice patch of grass, and read what we have to say about the second Bass n Babes compilation.

Continuing to make strides with new and familiar names in the scene!

For those who wish to escape into a celestial space exploration…

Ready to take you on an intergalactic journey, TrebleTina starts off the compilation with a celestial tone. “Spaceship to Nirvana” unfolds like a voyage through the cosmos, driven by a euphoric bassline that pulses with hypnotic energy. Its gliding rhythm carries you effortlessly through galaxies of sound, building a mesmerizing, otherworldly atmosphere that feels both infinite and deeply immersive. An elegant introduction to what’s in store for the remainder of the compilation.

TROWL guides us through the shadows of our celestial journey with “Oblivion Wing. The track plunges deep into heavy, dark tones, enveloping us in the sonic oblivion of reality itself. Placing the listener under a hypnotic bass spell, weaving a haunting and thrilling story that lingers between shadow and sound. Fusing elements of deep dubstep and experimental bass, TROWL takes us on through a shadow realm.

ETHERA shines in this compilation with “Trinity,” a beautifully minimal and haunting DnB cut. The production is clean and precise, culminating in a gorgeous exploration of the feminine side of minimal drum and bass.

“Moment of Clarity,” Lex Looper‘s sonic contribution to the compilation, is a hyper journey of a Breaks track that sounds like navigating a dire space mission, while having fun along the way. The spacey arps and bells, combined with the pounding bass hits and wild percussion, really bring the feeling of outer space, fitting inside the Bass n Babes universe perfectly.

To conclude our cosmic journey, aariaa beams us through a cinematic interstellar venture with “Can We Go Back.”

For those who are ready to be healed on a cosmic spiritual journey…

nomi. x VIOLET come through with a beautifully melodic and trippy bass banger with their collab “Free,” as the second track on the compilation. A deep reese bass carries this tune along a full sonic atmosphere, healing the soul of the listener and encouraging them to “feel the rhythm, feel the freedom,” as they embark on the journey of this compilation.

Bass n Babe’s founder, Baby Kush, carries the listener on a spiritual, celestial journey with “On A Trip.” This track feels like a trance-filled voyage, where mind and body align through hypnotic rhythms and resonant tones. Heavy basslines awaken the inner spirit, while healing sonic frequencies, deep bass, and angelic vocals (from Auracle’s sample pack) merge to create an experience both transcendent and electrifying!

Now we step into the moody, ethereal atmosphere that two girls one laptop creates with their track “desire <3.” The bass pulls and teases in every direction, while seductive vocals and hypnotic effects glide through dark, ethereal textures. Here, Kurei and Auracle invite you to let go completely, to move freely, and fall into your deepest desires. This track opens up into a lush soundscape where liberation and longing intertwine.

For those who wish to unleash their inner baddie into the universe…

Now for the absolute baddies on the dancefloor, IIBARRA brings that energy to a ten with “Science is Sexy.” This track oozes seductive energy, blending hypnotic vocals with an irresistible breaks-to-drum-and-bass groove that is sure to get your body moving intuitively without a second thought. This is a bass-heavy anthem made for late nights on the dancefloor, designed to have you shouting the lyrics, and is definitely powerful enough to send waves of pure vibration through your body with every beat.

Then comes the genre-bending track “ThirstTRAP” from Roses Grimoire, blending alternative rock and trap elements. The track hits hard with a thunderous bassline that fuses the raw grit and heavy-hitting trap elements. This cut is an adrenaline-charged anthem that ignites the listener’s inner fire, encouraging a sense of power, rebellion, and unstoppable energy that comes from true inner confidence.

The collab between farley. and Hersoul, “CROWN,” is a heavy-hitting, bass-forward cut from the compilation. Powered by absolutely savage rap vocals and trap influences, this track is a complete dancefloor weapon that stands out towards the end of this project.

Sorcerists โ€œtรณcameโ€ introduces a fresh and seductive track, made for the dancefloor. The bass-driven track is as alluring as it is addictive, fusing Latin heat with the slick bounce of Trap energy. Flirtatious grooves and sultry vocals weave through a hypnotic rhythm, striking a balance between confidence, power, and desire. So if you are eager to tango along to the bass frequencies, Sorcerist has you covered!

Lastly, sometimes you are urged to let your inner freak out, and that’s the energy MICROPLASTIQUE brings with “RHYTHM FREQ.” Itโ€™s a fearless dancefloor anthem that celebrates movement, mischief, and pure, joyful release. This track merges Breaks, UK Club, and Hyperpop influences into a high-voltage mix that is unapologetically bold. This is one song that invites the girls, gays, and theys to let loose and own their rhythm.

Heading towards more Babe Frequencies in the future!

With such an array of femme talent on this compilation, Bass n Babes Vol II is ready to dispel any industry misconceptions about femme producers. Be sure to check out this hot compilation and all the incredible artists involved! It is officially out now, and you can listen to it here!
