Kansas-based brothers Matt and Mark Hill, AKA The Floozies, released their single “Till Gone Day” featuring Tech N9ne today, March 18. The kings of electronic-funk are preparing for their forthcoming album, Dayglow Funk – out April 17.
Certified heavyweights in funk music, The Floozies weave elements of jam, funk, and electronic to create a timeless yet modern sound that is sure to get you up and grooving. The Floozies have shared stages with artists by the likes of Umphrey’s McGee, STS9, and Big Gigantic. Familiar with sold-out shows across the country, prominent festival appearances and headlining Red Rocks shows, their formidable sound is continuously celebrated from coast to coast.
We’ve never heard a song transcend genres quite like “Till Gone Day.”
Mixing their classic funk roots with Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne’s signature vocal sound, the Hill brothers hold it all together with a reggae-influenced beat and melody in the refrain.
“Till Gone Day” will make you want to party (and smoke weed) all day and all night:
“DJ, turn it up – let’s get it lit up. Don’t turn down, this is KC clown-town, all us ready to rage!”
Tech N9ne, “Till Gone Day”
And trust us – KC is a great place to rage.
We’ve seen The Floozies live once or twice (actually at least six times), and their live show literally never disappoints. The Floozies grace every stage with contagious energy, unwavering dedication to the art of live-instrumentation, and the capacity to make you dance all night long.
Streaming this single will do two things: cheer you up from your quarantine blues and provide support to The Floozies and their crew. Due to COVID-19, the brothers and co-headliners Sunsquabi made the difficult yet responsible decision to postpone the current leg of their tour. Don’t fret – the second leg is still on as planned. Like many other artists, The Floozies are working endlessly to get dates rescheduled.
We are freakin’ PUMPED for all of Dayglow Funk to be released on April 17.
