Following the opener is “Onomono,” a track that’s already been lighting up HEYZ sets and igniting the fanbase. Masterfully layering cinematic melodies with Dubbygotbars‘ hard-hitting vocals, the track builds over rumbling bass and a crescendo of strings. The wiggle-worthy drop is the cherry on top, making this epic track the perfect anthem for this stank-faced wobble warrior.
No Turning Back Now
Next stop on this hazy ride comes, “Demons.” The track opens deceptively mellow, but don’t be fooled by its laid-back grooves and dreamy interludes, because this ragga-infused banger is a high-voltage powerhouse. Tension builds over rousing lyrics and ethereal melodies, culminating in a high-octane drop that hits with seismic energy. A standout on the EP, “Demons” is a shining example of HEYZ’s refined production skills and top-notch sound design.
As the EP approaches its final moments, HEYZ envelops listeners in a state of dreamy disorientation with “Fantasy.” This psychedelic track serves as the emotional climax of the EP, combining euphoric vocals with a spine-tingling bass. True to its name, the song evokes a sense of wistful optimism. “Fantasy” represents the comedown after the chaos, leaving us yearning for just a little more.

Since his early releases on the techno-heavy mau5trap label, HEYZ has built a hefty dubstep discography with releases on Circus Records, Bite This, and Deadbeats. Now, we’re buckling up for a new chapter of HEYZ’s career. The Greensboro native is set to take the HEYZ’D And Confused tour across the country, visiting cities from Jacksonville to Boulder as well as major festivals including Dancefestopia and Lost Lands. It’s clear HEYZ is constantly evolving, and we’ll be keeping a close eye as his journey unfolds!
