Detox Unit and Jade Cicada join forces, co-headlining a two night whirlwind at Mission Ballroom. Denver gets ready for a weekend of neuro-stimulating frequencies and heavy bass vibrations, held on August 9th & 10th. Each night is supported by artists, musically and visually, known for pushing experimental bass boundaries, and captivating performances from pyroglyphics.
Both headliners hold their reputations, with their incorporation of glitchy elements, innovative sound design, and immersive soundscapes. Coming together, Detox Unit and Jade Cicada bring an unmatched curation to the Mission Ballroom. Not only presenting guests with mind bending A/V experiences, supporting artists like Vinja and Mickman draw our attention even more.
A Night of Detox
Detox Unit prepares for one of his biggest shows to date following recent performances at DEF Miami and Secret Dreams. Rumor has it, he’s bringing one of the largest production rigs he’s ever used for the August 9th headline. Although Detox Unit is no stranger to massive sound and headlining slots, this evening marks his debut at Mission Ballroom. Proving unstoppable, Detox Unit plans to hit Philly soon after, with friends Esseks and kLL sMTH, then Coconino Campout in September alongside Daily Bread and G Jones.
Audio Visual Pairings
The visual artist curation for each night makes this weekend experience one of a kind. Friday’s lineup has a unique journey in store for each set, matching sonics with visual talent. This includes some of our favorite VJ’s like Actualize and Nox Lumina, as well as Cullen Hassel whose digital atmosphere will accompany Detox Unit’s wavelengths. Aside from Friday, Saturday night’s Tenorless‘ pairing with Jade Cicada is something you won’t want to miss.
