Her newest single “Downhill Jam,” is no exception. This banger is a collaboration with one of Denver’s finest, pheel., adding his own personal groovy taste to an already delicious track. Breaking down barriers while exploring emotional storytelling, Yoko brings her most ambitious project yet, Vantage Point, arriving in full early March!

As we strap ourselves in, atmospheric sounds cultivate a dreamscape-like reality, drawing us deeper into a soft lavender-like world. Crispy hi-hats gain momentum, and for the first 40 seconds, we transcend into pure beauty and wonder. The rhythm that ensues is immediately overpowered by disgustingly glitchy bass notes, dirty acappella rollbacks, and a clear cadence driven by a crisp snare. Our atmospheric dreamscape-like reality has shifted as we enter a raunchy realm filled with moog synths and distorted bass. Head nod approved, we make our way downhill. Jammin’ fast, problems in the past, and we’re groovin’ now.

“Also, collab season is upon us! [laughs] I’m trying to get the courage to reach out to some people and start those collaborations.”
