A Full Family Affair: Meet the Community Artists Taking the Stage at Yahn Dawn

Pretty Lights has always represented something larger than the music itself. At the heart of every gathering lives a community of artists, creatives, and devoted fans who have helped shape the culture from the ground up. At Yahn Dawn, several of those familiar faces will complete a full-circle journey. From contributing to the community behind the scenes and sharing moments on the dance floor to stepping onto the stage and sharing their own music with the family that supported them.

A Sunday Tradition Comes Full Circle

If you have ever spent a Sunday drifting through the dreamier corners of Twitch, chances are you have crossed paths with The Chill Train. Its story began in 2025 when Mondokoosh gathered downtempo DJs from six countries for a Twitch raid train called The Last Train Home. It was only supposed to happen once, but the energy felt too special to leave behind. That one unforgettable ride soon became The Chill Train, a weekly Sunday gathering where PLF DJs take turns guiding the community through mellow, dreamy, and hypnotic soundscapes. With Mondokoosh laying the tracks as its founder and Mikey Thunder serving as conductor, the train has kept rolling ever since.

Since then, those Sundays have become more than a place to hear mellow, hypnotic music. They have become a familiar meeting point where friends check in, new connections form, and members of the Pretty Lights Family get to share the sounds that move them. Now in its second year, Mondokoosh, Mithridates, Hyperspace Sky, and Pants have helped carry that feeling beyond Twitch, nurturing a community within the community. That is what makes this moment at Yahn Dawn feel so full-circle: the same people who have spent their time creating spaces for the family will now step onto the stage and share their music with it.

Meet Your Conductors

Mondokoosh

For Mondokoosh, stepping onto the Yahn Dawn stage carries a meaning far greater than another name on a festival lineup. It brings him into the world of his favorite musicians during his favorite season, surrounded by the region and community he loves most. That community has spent nearly two decades growing into a family of fans, friends, performers, designers, organizers, caretakers, and artists.

As a leading conductor behind The Chill Train, Mondokoosh has dedicated his time to bringing the PLF together and showcasing the incredible talent living within its wider ecosystem. At Yahn Dawn, the spotlight turns toward him as he shares his own side of that creativity with the family he has helped uplift. Expect groovy electro-soul, funk-rooted rhythms, and warm, danceable basslines built to move the entire room. All delivered by an artist who understands that the real magic exists not only in the music, but in the love radiating from the people gathered around it.

Mithridates

Some people become recognizable within a community not because they ask for the spotlight, but because they continue showing up for everyone around them. Mithridates is one of those people. You may recognize him from the rail at nearly every Pretty Lights show, but his presence extends far beyond the front row. He is the familiar face supporting PLF artists as they open for some of their biggest inspirations, the radiant energy bringing warmth into every room, and the vessel constantly finding new ways to share that love with others. For someone who has poured so much of himself into this family, performing at Yahn Dawn in beautiful Buena Vista feels like one of those wildest dreams finally coming true.

After performing at Meow Wolf earlier this year during Pretty Lights’ Danceportation, Mithridates now carries that momentum into an even greater full-circle moment at Yahn Dawn. His sound opens a path into the wilderness through dark nature bass, moody and earthy textures, and an eerie organic edge that pulls listeners deep into the woods. This time, the person who has spent so many nights standing at the rail and cheering on others gets to step onto the stage, and the community he has always supported gets to return that same energy.

Hyperspace Sky

Every community has someone who arrives carrying something no one quite knew it needed until they began sharing it. Within the Pretty Lights Family, Hyperspace Sky has become that kind of spirit. Through breathwork sessions with the Pretty Lights Discord crew and his ability to create immersive sonic spaces, he has opened new pathways for the community to slow down, reconnect, and journey inward together. Joining Yahn Dawn holds an especially deep meaning for an artist whose own creative work draws inspiration from the people and music that have soundtracked the last two decades of his life.

Hyperspace Sky will begin the weekend with a Friday afternoon Kundalini Yoga class designed to encourage connection, expand awareness, and help the body adjust to the altitude before the swirling begins. He will carry that same intention into his experimental downtempo bass fusion and spacious soundscape portals built for sonic travel. A fitting invitation for the family to ground themselves before escaping beyond the ordinary.

Pants

Long before stepping into his own artist journey, Pants was already helping preserve the moments that made the Pretty Lights Family feel special. Through his Instagram account, Rustified Clips, he has collected and shared standout highlights that fans may have missed throughout the past several years of Pretty Lights tours. He has also helped host Pretty Lights restreams on Discord and Twitch, giving the family a place to gather and relive each tour stop together. When those streams ended, he kept the energy moving through Twitch raids that directed listeners toward emerging artists and fellow PLF community members.

That instinct to shine a light on others says everything about the role Pants has built within the community. He remains a friendly and familiar face who shows up without hesitation, supports those around him, and understands what becomes possible when the family rallies behind one of its own. Now, at the beginning of a much larger artistic journey, Pants gets to experience that support from the other side. He isn’t taking this full-circle moment for granted, bringing psychedelic tribal bass, deep sub kicks, shuffled rhythms, hypnotic atmospheric textures, and tribal percussion aboard The Chill Train for the whole family to experience.

Every Member of the Family Shapes the Story

What makes Yahn Dawn feel like a true family affair is everything waiting beyond the stage. The weekend creates space for the community to move, heal, reconnect, and express itself just as freely as it does on the dance floor. The fan-favorite Horizon 5K Sprint returns, inviting everyone to lace up and raise funds for the Buena Vista Pride Coalition. Across the Prismatic Playa and Celestial Sanctuary, mornings begin with ceremonial cacao, intention-setting, breathwork, and movement, giving the family a chance to arrive fully before another day of swirling begins.

That care continues through offerings led by familiar community members and wellness practitioners, including Hyperspace Sky’s heart-opening Kundalini practice, Lisa Parente’s rhythm-driven RM Method™, and Quantum Yin with Kelly Hinds, Racheal Haynes, and Cassidy Madden. When the weekend winds down, Sierra Dawn’s Closing Portal brings everyone together one final time through sound healing and Reiki, offering space to carry the experience home with intention.

That is the heart of Yahn Dawn: not simply gathering beneath the same lights, but creating opportunities for every member of the family to contribute, feel supported, and become part of the story.
